Well, Mr. Dombrowski decided to lock up Miguel Cabrera long term, and in the process make him the 4th highest paid player in The Bigs behind A-Rod, Santana and Manny. The contract will pay him $152.3 million over 8 years or a little over $19 million per. This is a great thing. We’re talking about the best player under 25 in the world. He’s averaged 32 homers and 115 RBIs while hitting .318 over the past four seasons for the Marlins. Now we have him locked up through his prime years.
